Tubelight Movie review
Legend actor Om Puri will be seen for the last time in the film “Tubelight” which makes this film very important. Every Khan has his own moment in Hindi film. Kabir Khan made such impact two years ago with film “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” and now it is made by Sohail Khan who really surpassed his star brother. “Tubelight” is a movie by Salman Khan but instead it proved to be the revival of Sohail Khan.
‘Tubelight’ is the remake of 2015 American movie “Little Boy” while this Hindi version of the film is very much copy of the original American version. Even the heroes in both the films are 40 years old. “Little Boy” features an 8 year old boy who wants to get rid of the war and later believes that he has the magical power to do so. This simple role can easily be played by Kabir Khan but Salman Khan was used for this purpose due to his popularity but this took the actor at the depth of his film career. The reason behind appearance of Salman Khan in the film could be as he wasn’t featuring in any film for some tiem and he tried to perform best by making use of the film by Kabir Khan but instead this film proved disastrous for him.
The film shows the period of September 1962 Bharat (Sohail) is the brother of Laxman Singh Bisht (Salman) and he had to participate in the Indo-Chinese war. The film is set in a small village in which Laxman lives. One day, he was taught a trick by a magician through which he was able to use his mind to move a bottle.
After learning the trick, Salman tried to stop the war by moving mountains sticking his arms out. Though, these scenes were included with a good heart but they proved ridiculous and proved to be the worst performance by Salman. The message of the film was admirable as it is an anti-war movie but the action is making this movie unwatchable.
There are also few mistakes regarding war scenes in the film. All the actors performed well without Salman Khan. Chinese actress Zhu Zhu also performed best and the same performance was shown by child actor Matin Rey Tangu. They both played the roles of Indians of Chinese origin. The other cast of the film was also quite strong including Brijendra Kala, Yashpal Sharma and M Zeeshan Ayyub.
