Recently, famous Hollywood actor Tom Cruise broke his ankle while shooting a stunt after which the production of movie “Mission: Impossible 6 (MI6)” has come to a halt. Film’s director Christopher McQuarrie confirmed the incident but there will be no change in the release date.
The director told on the social media that Tom is improving and the film “MI6” will be released on its schedule time of 27th July 2018.
Cruise got injured while performing his own stunt as he was jumping between buildings and in the end hitting a concrete wall.
The director rejected the reports that Cruise fell short of the jump that was filmed on Saturday in Central London. The star almost always lands on the side of the target building but he tried to do it on multiple times in order to coordinate with the camera. He hit the building wrongly on the fourth attempt and immediately broke his ankle.
The filming schedule for other actors like Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Henry Cavill, Alec Baldwin and Angela Bassett has been extended by two months.
The director said that he will use this delay to look at the previous shooting of the film that will help him to reassess the movie completely.
Tom Cruise is known for performing adventurous staffs in his movies by himself and his co-stars say that he also involved others while performing the stunt.
So far, there is no response from Cruise’s representatives and Paramount Studio that is distributing “MI6”.
